What ABA therapy looks like week to week

Most families start with somewhere between ten and twenty five hours a week, set by the evaluation rather than by preference. A behavior technician runs the sessions and a board certified behavior analyst writes and reviews the plan behind them, usually visiting every few weeks to adjust it. Early on, a good deal of the time goes on pairing, building enough of a relationship that a child will work with someone new, which can look like play and is doing more than it appears. Goals are reviewed on data collected in every session, so if something is not working you will hear it from us before you have to ask. Sessions run in the home for most families across Illinois; the detail is on our in-home ABA therapy page, and what insurance will authorize is on our insurance coverage page.

Family training and caregiver empowerment are essential components of our ABA therapy programs. We provide parent guidance sessions to share positive reinforcement strategies and behavioral techniques. By collaborating closely with families, as well as teachers and other healthcare providers, we ensure that your child maintains and generalizes new skills across all environments.

Our therapy process follows five clear steps:

  1. Intake: We discuss your family's goals and begin benefit verification.

  2. Assessment: A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) evaluates your child's developmental strengths and needs.

  3. Individualized Treatment Plan: We create a personalized program targeting specific goals.

  4. One-on-One Sessions: Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) implement the plan under BCBA supervision.

  5. Ongoing Support: We continually monitor progress, adapt goals, and ensure long-term skill retention.
